Come celebrate Veteran’s Day weekend and the unofficial beginning of this year’s campaign season by helping raise funds for voter education and awareness.
Join Angelique (The Birthday Girl!) and several notable young professionals from Atlanta to New York City to ratify her 29th year of life and kick off this year’s election cycle with a bang. We will be celebrating our civil liberties over All American Spirits at H Street’s one and only speakeasy “Church and State.” The fun begins at 7:30 p.m.
This is a friend-raiser and fundraiser so the cost of entrance is free but there is a suggested donation of $5 or more to benefit regional efforts to raise voter awareness and educate voters on the recent changes in election law. Church & State will be donating a dollar for every drink sold. Donors will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a $50 Happy Hour tab at Fruit Bat (and other prizes).
What better birthday gift to give a civic-minded Washingtonian than helping preserve life, liberty and the much embattled right to vote? So come and celebrate your rights to assemble and to drink, November 12, 2011 and party for a great cause! Don’t forget to try the night’s signature drink, “The 29th Amendment” made with Leopold’s Bros. famous New York Apple Whiskey.
